Professor Federigo Argentieri on a Lecturing Tour in the United States

John Cabot University Professor of Political Science Federigo Argentieri, Director of the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs, is currently in the United States of America for several scholarly commitments.

On Friday, November 18th, he participated in a panel of the 43rd ASEEES Convention (Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies), held in Washington DC. On Monday November 21st and 22nd, he is scheduled to present lectures at Hunter College, City University of New York, Harriman Institute, Columbia University and Montclair State University in New Jersey.

The topics covered by Professor Argentieri’s lectures will include the presentation of a forthcoming book on Italian unification, to which Professor Argentieri contributed (“Il mondo ci guarda”, edited by Fulvio Cammarano and Michele Marchi, Florence, Le Monnier 2011), as well as a look at the Orange Revolution in Ukraine seven years on, and at the current government of Hungary and its newly adopted constitution.

Professor Argentieri will teach courses PL 215-1- Italian Politics and Society, PL 340 – Political Development in the Third World and PL 355 – Eastern European Politics and Societies during the Spring 2012 Semester.
