Professor Aaron Carpenè Guest Conductor at the 25th Macao International Music Festival

, professor of music at John Cabot University, is guest conductor of the Akademie für Alte Musik from Berlin in Handel’s timeless opera Acis and Galatea during the 25th Macao International Music Festival. The Akademie für Alte Musik BERLIN (Akamus) was founded in 1982 and is recognized as one of the world’s leading chamber orchestras.

Prof. Carpenè is joined by an international cast and an Italian production team for three performances in Macao’s historic opera theatre built by the Portuguese in 1850. The performances will be on October 14th, 15th and 16th.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government presents the 25th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF) from October 7th to November 5th, 2011.
