Professors Amato, Pettit and Schoneveld

On December 21st, 2014, three John Cabot University Studio Art professors, Serafino Amato, William Pettit, and Jochem Schoneveld, along with Veronique Bellavista, inaugurated an exhibition of their works in the Renaissance Palazzo della Corgna in Città della Pieve, in Umbria.

The exhibition runs until January 17. Serafino Amato shows a group of photographs that make use of the symbolic potency of trees and roots, while Schoneveld’s technically sophisticated forest studies induce near sensory overload. William Pettit’s drawings are profoundly linked to nature as well, both in their earthy colors and imagery and in the natural, antique art materials which he has researched and employed. Tanja Lelgemann offers an accompanying text; the graphic art for the show’s publicity is by JCU Professor Sabrina Schmidt.
