On Monday, June 19, 2017, Professor Federigo Argentieri was invited to SkyTG 24, a 24-hour satellite news channel, to discuss the June 18 attack to a London mosque and the current situation of terrorism in Europe. He stated that for the first time in recent years, a white European committed a murderous action against Muslims , thereby risking to ignite a very dangerous spiral of retaliation, retribution and hatred. The only remedies to this threat are reaffirming the importance of peaceful coexistence of communities and greater coordination among European police forces, which is sometimes delayed by illusions of self-sufficiency.

Federigo Argentieri is Adjunct Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Guarini Institute for Public Affairs. He teaches courses on international security and comparative politics of Europe, Latin America and developing countries and regularly contributes to Italy’s newspaper Corriere della Sera and to other Italian and international media.
