JCU Career Fair

The year 2017 marked a special occasion in the history of the Career Services Center at John Cabot University. The Center was born in the 1990s with the mission of helping JCU students and alumni prepare for and successfully enter the workforce through a variety of services, including CV/resume and cover letter building, seminars and events of orientation to the job market, company testimonials, career fairs, and interview rehearsal. Each semester the number of students and alumni who landed positions has increased, with 2017 registering a record number of 350 internships and jobs obtained.

The Center for Career Services has over 500 partner companies and organizations that operate in various industries: Human Resources Management (9%), Art History and Journalism (11%), Law and International Affairs (14%), Finance and Administration (29%), Marketing and Communications (37%). Among the candidates placed in 2017, about half of them (48%) are JCU graduates, while the other half are BA (31%) and Continuing Education (21%) students.

The next Career Fair, the Fall 2017 Career Fair #2 will be on Friday, November 10th. The event, which opens the 2018 internship and job campaign, will host more than 75 company representatives, who will be interviewing JCU students and recent graduates for job and internship positions and for career advising. Among the attending companies will be KPMG, Coca Cola Hellenic, Rai National TV channel, NTV Italo, Linkem, and many others.
