On Thursday the 8th of November Mr. Edoardo Secchi, Founder and CEO of Italie France Group”, came to visit JCU to share information on his business experiences with interested students, faculty, and staff. The meeting took place in the Tiber Café at the “French Table.” Professors Corrada Biazzo Curry and Thomas Govero were present as well as some students taking French at JCU and Coordinator of Academic Success Programs Francesca Gleason.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, Mr. Secchi is an economic advisor and professor as well as an economic development & cooperation consultant. He recounted how when he was 19 years old he visited Paris and described the moment as a “coup de foudre,” which totally changed his life – in fact he decided to stay in France and created a company that would bring together Italian and French entrepreneurship and businesses.

One of the professors, in thanking Mr. Secchi for his interesting talk, said: “My students were very happy to meet you, and I think that they will benefit a lot from the ideas of entrepreneurship in France and Italy that you discussed with them.”

Our guest was impressed by the American yet international feel of JCU and expressed the wish to return to our Campus for another visit.
