Congratulations to Our ENLUS Graduates!
On Tuesday, December 10, 2013 the Aula Magna Regina hosted the ENLUS graduation. ENLUS is John Cabot University’s English Language for University Studies (ENLUS) Program for students who need to bring their English language proficiency to university level.
This semester showed a record number of ENLUS graduates, with 42 students graduating from ENLUS 2 and 10 students graduating from ENLUS 1.
Professor Carlos Dews, the Chair of the English Department, delivered the diplomas on behalf of President Pavoncello to those students who have successfully completed their studies.
Professor Silvia Ammary, the coordinator of the program said: “This is the first time we had such a large number of ENLUS students, and it really shows the growing importance of JCU in Italy and abroad.”
Jessica Alvisini, an ENLUS 2 graduating student, delivered a speech on behalf of the ENLUS graduating students, in which she expressed her happiness and gratitude: “This course has been an amazing experience. I met nice people and had the chance to study with excellent teachers who helped me become confident about my English and more proficient both in the spoken and the written language. Thanks to this course, I now feel confident enough to face the challenges of university life.”
