Andrew Cotto’s Travel Writing Class

The final event of this summer’s Institute for Creative Writing and Literary Translation was held on July 22, 2014, when Prof. Andrew Cotto’s Travel Writing class read excerpts from their work this semester. Professor Cotto opened the event by introducing himself and each of his students in turn. Professor Cotto’s six students, made up of three JCU degree seekers and three study abroad students, each shared some of their work with a large audience of students, faculty and members of the general public. The class focused on creatively capturing experiences of travelling, not only in Italy but throughout the world, by writing odes, stories and even poems on postcards.
