On Saturday, February 21 a John Cabot University delegation was invited to celebrate the Chinese New year in Rome at the Chinese Evangelical Church. The church, near Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, serves as a weekend Chinese school for children of Chinese descent in Rome. In the best Chinese tradition, the festive event consisted of a talent show where members of the Roman Chinese community showcased their talents through music, dance and skits.

John Cabot students Lynette Quezada and Hannah Garza sang two songs from The Sound of Music. Lulù Huang, another JCU student, served as interpreter for the short introductory remarks by Professor Michèle Favorite. Ms. Annie Huang, JCU International Admissions Counselor, organized John Cabot’s presence at the event.
