On September 21, 2019, John Cabot University President Franco Pavoncello presented Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte with the degree of Doctor of Public Service, honoris causa. The conferral of the degree took place in a private ceremony in Rome at Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Italian government, in the presence of the JCU Board of Trustees and Vice President and Dean of Academics Mary Merva.

Our best congratulations to JCU student Beatrice Vio who just won her 3rd World Championship Title in the foil event. Vio won the gold medal in the foil event at the Paralympic World Championships in Cheongju, South Korea. This is Vio’s third world title after those won in Eger, Hungary, in 2015 and in Rome in 2017.
