President Pavoncello Welcomes Ambassador of Georgia Dr. Konstantin Gabashvili
President Franco Pavoncello today welcomed Dr. Konstantin Gabashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to the Italian Republic, to John Cabot University.
Dr. Gabashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and is married with two sons. He graduated in Eastern Studies from Tbilisi State University in 1971, was Georgian Minister of Education between 1992 to 1993, and mayor of Tbilisi in 1993. Prior to becoming Ambassador to the Italian Republic, the Republic of Malta and San Marino, a position he has held since 2008, he acted as Ambassador to Germany from 1993 to 2004, and as Ambassador to Poland between 2001 and 2004.
