Professor Ferruccio Trabalzi Talks Outreach Cultural Exchange Program

On Thursday, February 16th, JCU Professor Ferruccio Trabalzi joined a small group of JCU Study Abroad students participating in the JCU Outreach Cultural Exchange Program to speak about the experience students can gain through this program.

Professor Trabalzi briefly outlined the structure of the Italian education system and encouraged JCU Volunteers to develop a critical and aware approach to their efforts to expand their cultural horizons while at JCU. Students discussed some of the aspects to consider when undertaking volunteer activities in Italian high schools and shared some of their experiences volunteering at JCU and back in their home community. Those present gained unique insight into this enriching activity that promotes cultural exchange.

There are currently 70 JCU students who have signed up for the program and have begun to visit Italian high schools.
