Professor Simona Costagli Published Article on Protectionism
John Cabot University Professor of Economics Simona Costagli has been featured on website FirstOnline.info with an article on tariffs and new protectionism; she analyzes how Europe is the most “open” area in the world to foreign trading, while countries such as Argentina, Russia, China, and Brazil are still heavily protectionist, in particular in the field of public procurement.
Professor Costagli has a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from Rome’s “La Sapienza” University and taught International Economics at JCU during the Spring 2012 semester. She is currently a Senior Economist at a major Italian bank. She has recently been featured in several publications with articles on unemployment figures and trends, the American housing market, small enterprises in Italy, India’s economic growth, and the effects the current economic crisis has had on new businesses.
