JCU Participates in U.S. Embassy in Rome's International Conference

John Cabot University recently contributed to the United States’ Embassy in Rome’s international conference on Piracy and Counterfeiting in a Digital Environment: U.S. and Italian Experiences, by sponsoring the participation of Tracy Mitrano of Cornell. Tracy spoke about “Protecting Internet Freedom while Promoting a Culture of IP Legality,” to an audience of diplomats, law and customs enforcement officials, judges and prosecutors, international trade regulators, business and union leaders, and academic experts. The Conference was held last week at the U.S. Consulate in Florence.

This collaboration between John Cabot, the U.S. Embassy and Cornell grows out of John Cabot’s international conference on Copyright Law in Higher Education, in September 2011, and we look forward to continuing it in the future.
