Student Government Hosts International Student Leadership Conference

The John Cabot University Student Government was pleased to host the 4th Annual International Student Leadership Conference at the campus of John Cabot University in Rome on March 7th through March 10th, 2013. The Conference brought together student leaders from the Association of American International Colleges and Universities (AAICU) representing an enrollment of over 35,000 undergraduate students who are pursuing their studies at one of the American university overseas.

AAICU is a leadership organization of American international universities whose member institutions “… promote the pursuit of learning and of democratic values so their graduates are prepared for the rapidly changing needs of the twenty-first century” (Cairo Declaration of the AAICU, 2008). The International Student Leadership Conference carries forward this tradition.

This year’s International Student Leadership Conference hosted student leaders from Lebanon, Morocco, Italy, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Kyrgyz Republic, France, Armenia, Greece, Spain, Nigeria, and Egypt.
