Student Loredana Mihani Ranks Finalist in Ayn Rand Essay Contest
John Cabot University Junior Loredana Mihani recently earned the rank of Finalist in the 2013 Atlas Shrugged Contest with her essay on the novel.
A native of Albania, Mihani is majoring in English Literature with minors in International Affairs and Italian Studies.
The Ayn Rand Institute sponsors annual essay contests for college students which are judged on both style and content. Judges look for clear, articulate and logically organized writing. All winning essays demonstrate an exceptional grasp and understanding of Ayn Rand’s Novel, Atlas Shrugged.
Loredana Mihani’s essay was ranked among the 25 finalists, with thousands of entrants from all around the world.
“Reading the book was a real pleasure. I find it fascinating that a work of fiction can become so influential in thinking about politics and economics. I am minoring in International Affairs, and the classes that I have taken at JCU have helped me to grasp the novel’s main concepts,” said Mihani.
