Visiting Professor Craig Smith Wins Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award
JCU Visiting Professor Craig Smith was recently awarded the 2014 Bruce E. Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award, for his work entitled Confessions of a Presidential Speechwriter.
Dr. Smith is on the Advisory Board of the John Cabot University Institute for International Communications. He is Professor of Communication Studies and chair of the Department of Film and Electronic Arts at California State University, Long Beach, as well as Director of CSULB’s Center for First Amendment Studies.
Professor Smith has also been invited to attend the Political Communication Division Business Meeting during the 2014 National Communication Association Convention in Chicago, on November 21, where the award will be presented. His name will be entered onto the Bruce E. Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award Plaque, placed in the University of Iowa.
