JCU Gladiators Bring Home Three Wins in Soccer and Volleyball

Congratulations to JCU Gladiators in Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Volleyball teams on their three big wins last week!

JCU Lady Gladiators Soccer Team

Lady Gladiators Soccer vs Foro: 10 – 6
After the third game of the season, JCU is at the top of the league. The team, led by Paolo Farina, earned their most important victory of the season against last year’s champion, Foro Italico. The final score was 10 to 6, and the player of the game was Sarah Velasquez, who has scored 8 goals this season.

JCU Gladiators Volleyball Team

Volleyball vs. Link: 2 – 1
The Gladiators came out fighting from the first serve. The entire first set was flawless, ending 25-14 for JCU. Link came back to take the second set, catching the Gladiators off guard and breaking their rhythm. But the Gladiators dug deep and fought hard to win the final set 15-13, and the match 2-1.

JCU Gladiators Soccer Team

Male Gladiators Soccer vs. EUR: 5 – 0
This was the fifth game of the season for the male soccer team, who played flawlessly in a 5-0 victory against Università Europea di Roma. Again, the man of the match was Noah Sandvick, who scored two goals and retains his position as leading scorer. The other goals were scored by Stefan Mihailovic, Loic Johnson, and Mohamed Dekna.
