Art Professor William Pettit to Present His Research on Natural Pigments at Experimental Archaeology Conference in Dublin
Studio Arts professor William Pettit will be presenting his research on natural pigments at the 9th Experimental Archaeology Conference at University College Dublin on January 16, 2015. Together with Professor Candice Smith Corby of Stonehill College (MA), Pettit will discuss the medieval palette in organic, homemade materials. Much of this research is related to the course “The Medieval Bottega” that Pettit teaches at John Cabot University.
The programme features papers on aspects of experimental archaeology and pedagogy; experiments and experiences in houses and dwellings; embodied skills and knowledge in craft skills, and environment, food, cooking and society in the past.
