Professor Michèle Favorite, who holds a Ph.D. from Oxford University, welcomed the group and highlighted her familiarity with international education on both a personal and professional level.

Professor Favorite cited the recent outcomes of JCU graduates who have gone on to Columbia, Oxford, LSE, NYU, and other prestigious institutions, in addition to the graduates who have established their own companies with the support of the JCU Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Associate Dean and Harvard graduate Professor Pamela Harris gave a lecture about the evolution of human rights in recent history. Both Professors Favorite and Harris provided the audience with a typical, interactive JCU classroom experience.

Pilar Murguia, Director of Student Life, and Antonella Salvatore, Executive Manager of the Center for Professional and Continuing Education and Career Services, concluded the session with an overview of JCU’s extracurricular services and activities in health and wellness, career services, student leadership programs, athletics, community service, dining services, student employment and more.

The event was followed by a brief reception which provided an opportunity for the students, professors, and parents to become further acquainted.
