Communications Major Jasmine Manari's Short Film Selected for Los Angeles Cinefest and Sydney Transgender International Film Festival
Congratulations to JCU Communications major Jasmine Manari, whose short film Espiazioni (Atonement) has been selected for the Los Angeles Cinefest and the Sydney Transgender International Film Festival.
Jasmine, who is from Pescara, Italy, took advantage of John Cabot University’s Direct Exchange Programs and studied film in New York City in Fall 2014, after spending Spring 2014 at California State University at Long Beach where she took courses in directing, production management, editing, video acting, piano, and dance.
Jasmine shot her first short film
The Urchin
at JCU in 2013. She also shot Atonement almost entirely at JCU this term during her Video Portfolio Development class with Professor Brian Thomson. She even had the opportunity to use Paila Pavese, the voice artist for the Italian dubbing of Jessica Rabbit, for one of her main characters.
