President Pavoncello Invited to Inaugural Symposium on International Liberal Education at Yale-NUS College in Singapore

John Cabot University President Franco Pavoncello has been invited to participate in Yale-NUS’s Inaugural Symposium on Liberal Education, to be held on October 11, 2015.

Yale-NUS College was established in 2011 as collaboration between Yale and the National University of Singapore. It is the first liberal arts college in Singapore and one of the few in Asia.

The symposium will gather international thought leaders in higher education and explore fundamental questions facing the future of higher education across the world. Presidents of universities such as Yale, National University of Singapore, Oxford University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China will be in attendance.

President Pavoncello has also been invited to attend the official opening of the Yale-NUS College permanent campus, which will take place on October 12, 2015.

“I am truly honored to be representing John Cabot University at this important Yale-SNU inaugural symposium,” says President Pavoncello. “It is an important recognition of the work JCU has been doing over the past few years in building a world-class international liberal arts Institution. I look forward to sharing my thoughts on this state of the art educational area with prestigious academic leaders from around the world.”
