Student Brando Caruso Wins Gold in European Water Skiing Championship
JCU student and athlete Brando Caruso earned the top step of the podium at the Under 21 European Water Skiing Championships last weekend in Lleida Gimenelles, Spain. The gold medal in the slalom competition is the latest in a long string of victories for Brando, who hails from Omegna, in the Piedmont region of Italy.
Brando competes for Omegna’s club wsFlipoint, and is trained by his father Silvio and Ricky Casilli. He gained great experience in high-level competitions during the four years he spent in Florida, where he could train with the best of the specialty. With the season over, Brando has begun his freshman year at John Cabot University.
Congratulations Brando from the entire JCU community!
