JCU Student Jasmine Manari's Short Film to be Screened at Bucharest and Paris Film Festivals
Senior Communications student Jasmine Manari’s short film My Big Mouth Vagina will be screened at two film festivals next month. On November 1st, her film will be shown in France at the Paris Lesbian and Feminist Film Festival. The film will also be screened on November 6th in Bucharest, Romania at the Feminist and Queer International Film Festival.
Jasmine, who is from Pescara, Italy, took advantage of John Cabot University’s Direct Exchange Programs and studied film in New York City in Fall 2014, after spending Spring 2014 at California State University at Long Beach where she took courses in directing, production management, editing, video acting, piano, and dance.
Jasmine shot her first short film The Urchin at JCU in 2013. She also shot Atonement almost entirely at JCU in Spring 2014 during her Video Portfolio Development class with Professor Brian Thomson.
