"The Next Rome" Contest Seeks Creative Solutions to the City's Problems

The Institute for Entrepreneurship and the Career Services Office would like to inform JCU students of the following opportunity:

The organization La prossima Roma (“The Next Rome”) aspires to foster the rebirth of the city through collaboration between citizens and the public administration. In this regard, La prossima Roma has launched a contest in order to invite young people to propose creative solutions to the city’s problems.

The contest, called Premio Creativo “Soluzioni per la Prossima Roma” (Creative Prize: “Solutions for the Next Rome”), is open to anyone under the age of 35 and aims to reward innovative ideas that tackle the city’s problems with a pragmatic yet creative spirit.

Participants can choose to submit entries in Italian in one or all three of the following categories:

  1. Rome in 30 words: a Facebook post that proposes a future of rebirth and redemption for Rome;
  2. Rome in 60 lines: a letter to a friend that says “Let’s help Rome.” The letter should propose original entrepreneurial and organizational solutions for the city.
  3. Rome in 120 seconds: a video that captures the possibility of an improved quality of life for Rome’s citizens.

The deadline for submissions is March 10, 2016.
