On Monday, September 26, John Cabot University hosted an important visit from the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL), the second largest university in the city. Specializing in political science and law, the university teaches a wide range of topics including economics, management, and sociology. The Chancellor and Chairman of the University Affairs Committee, Professor Yang Junyi, and his delegation met with President Franco Pavoncello, along with Vice President and Dean of Academics, Mary Merva, to discuss the possibility of developing a relationship between the two institutions.

SHUPL has been committed to international exchanges for many years and currently sends its students abroad on exchange programs to many different countries, and enrolls overseas students from over 25 countries. The delegation showed a strong interest in developing an agreement that would benefit both John Cabot University students and SHUPL students.
