Guarini Institute Advisor Helen Viola

“Weekly News in English,” a wrap up of Italy’s top stories of the week, is anchored by Helen Viola, Rai journalist and advisor to the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs at John Cabot University and Mariaceleste de Martino, also a RAI journalist.

Helen Viola attended New York University and concentrated her studies on European history and U.S. politics. She began her journalistic career in New York, first writing for the weekly magazine Panorama, and then went on to the correspondence office  for the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The program is broadcast on Rai News every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening after 23.00. The recap also airs on the Rai News website.

Launched in May 2016 by Antonio Di Bella, Editor-in-Chief of Rai News and coordinated by Lorenzo Ottolenghi, the program is produced in collaboration with Rai Radio1.
