JCU and The New School in NYC Announce Fast Track to Graduate Media Studies
The John Cabot University Department of Communications and The New School in New York City are proud to announce the Fast Track to Graduate Media Studies. The program is open to students who have at least 60 credits and a 3.0 GPA and want to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Media Management or a full Master of Arts in Media Studies or a Master of Science in Media Management.
Students will be able to earn graduate credits while completing their BA at John Cabot University and apply those credits to a Graduate Certificate in Media Management at The School of Media Studies of The New School. They will also be able to apply the graduate credits they have already earned to the pursuit of a full M.A. in Media Studies or an M.S. in Media Management at The New School.
“The program is unique because it allows students to earn graduate credits as they finish their B.A. They also save money, as they pay for credits only once. It’s a great experience that will allow students to get into most graduate programs, including the New School’s, which is one of the best for media studies. The program will also allow students who wish to continue studying at The New School to complete their M.A. in one year after graduation,” said Communications Professor Peter Sarram. “Already in Fall 2017 one section of Advanced Communications Theory (COM 470) will be offered as a graduate course. Think of it as a honors course on steroids,” he said.
