JCU President’s Gala 2017: 45th Anniversary "Building for the Future"
John Cabot University is pleased to announce that the President’s Gala 2017 will take place on Saturday, September 23 at the Hotel Hassler Roma.
The annual President’s Gala is an opportunity for students, parents, alumni, friends, faculty and Trustees to enjoy an evening together in the spectacular atmosphere of the Hotel Hassler Roma, in celebration of the university’s growth and prosperity.
The theme of this year’s gala, which coincides with JCU’s 45th anniversary, is “Building for the Future,” highlighting the acquisition of a new building and honoring those who have supported this initiative.
This new building, whose official name will be announced during the Gala, is the first University-owned property and represents the permanence of John Cabot University in the Trastevere neighborhood. In addition to a science lab and administrative offices, the building will host JCU’s Master of Arts in Art History, the MA in the history of art based entirely in Rome offered by a US-accredited university. Launched in Fall 2017, the program provides professional training in the history of art and architecture with emphasis on first-hand research in Rome’s museums, archaeological sites, historic libraries, and archives.
A highlight of the evening will be the conferral of the Distinguished Alumni Award, which honors an alumnus/a who has demonstrated a steady growth of excellence in his/her career and leadership within his/her respective field. The Award recipient is recognized for notable accomplishments in his/her chosen profession and exemplifies the values and mission of the University.
The President’s Gala will take place at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Hotel Hassler Roma.
