Managerial Economics Class Attends Pitch Your Failure Presentation
On October 5, 2017, JCU students enrolled in the Managerial Economics class attended a “Pitch Your Failure” presentation organized by Ashoka ChangemakerXchange at the TIM #Wcap Accelerator in Trastevere.
The presentations were delivered by entrepreneurs from different countries who shared their challenges along their journeys. Among them was young Italian entrepreneur Andrea Giarrizzo, the creator of one of the first Android apps that was downloaded in a short time by millions of people worldwide.
“I believe it is important to build resilience as setbacks will occur at various points in life. Getting to know stories of failure directly from people who experienced them and then managed to turn things around might help on this front,” says Professor Adrian Stoian who accompanied the students to the event.
Adrian Stoian is an Associate Professor of Economics at John Cabot University. He has extensive teaching experience having taught undergraduate and graduate level courses as diverse as Principles of Economics, Managerial Economics, Business Statistics, Econometrics, International Economics, Research Methods at six different academic institutions both in the U.S. and internationally.
