Last October, JCU participated in Frankenreads, a global celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. During the month-long event, students, faculty, and staff participated in the live read-a-thon and attended various Frankenstein-themed events. Frankenreads came to an end on Halloween night, with a lecture given by author Fiona Sampson.
