JCU’s Initial Self Evaluation Report Accepted by AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee
JCU is proud to announce that the Initial Accreditation Committee of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accepted the University’s Initial Self Evaluation Report in November 2019 with the recommendation to begin the process of preparing for a peer review team visit.
The fundamental purpose of AACSB accreditation is to challenge business educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement in their business programs. Only the best business schools in the world earn AACSB Accreditation.
This recognition is an important step in JCU’s journey toward AACSB accreditation, which began in 2017. In 2018, thanks to a generous donation by the Hon. Frank J. Guarini, Chairman Emeritus of the John Cabot Board of Trustees, the University created the Frank J. Guarini School of Business. AACSB accreditation has been a key aspirational goal of the Business School since its foundation.
The mission of the Frank J. Guarini School of Business is to provide excellence in business education that capitalizes on the University’s liberal arts tradition and international environment. The School aims to build an ecosystem of ethical, compassionate, and innovative business leaders who are prepared to engage in an interconnected, complex world.
This stage of initial accreditation does not imply that JCU will achieve AACSB accreditation within a designated time period.
