JCU Alumnus Daryush Arabnia Elected President of UCIF Industrial Organization
John Cabot University alumnus Daryush Arabnia was recently elected President of UCIF (Unione Costruttori Impianti di Finitura), the Italian association of producers of automobile finishing plants. Founded in 1973, the group represents 50% of Italy’s production of machines and systems dedicated to car finishing processes.
Daryush, who graduated from JCU in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, became Chairman, President, and CEO of the Geico Taikisha group earlier this year. The positions were previously held by his father, Dr. Ali Reza Arabnia, also a JCU alumnus (class of 1983) and beloved Trustee of the University.
After graduating from JCU, Daryush earned an MBA from Bocconi University in 2013. He started working at Geico as a project manager in 2009 and just two years later flew to China to open a new branch of the business. He is also credited with launching the strategic project “Smart Paintshop,” which won several international prizes.
Congratulations to Daryush Arabnia on his latest accomplishment!
