Alumnus Daryush Arabnia’s Company Wins 2021 Manufacturing Leadership Award
John Cabot University is proud to celebrate Daryush Arabnia, one of its exceptional alumni. The Manufacturing Leadership Council recently announced the winners of the 2021 Manufacturing Leadership Awards. Among the group of winners is Geico Taikisha, whose Chairman and CEO is JCU alumnus Daryush Arabnia. Geico Taikisha constructs and designs turnkey automated systems for painting automotive vehicles.

Daryush graduated from JCU in 2008 with a B.A. in Business Administration. In 2013, he earned an M.B.A. from Bocconi University, in Milan. He rose within the ranks of Geico Taikisha to be the Chief Operations Officer. In 2020, Arabnia became the Chairman, President, and CEO of Geico Taikisha group. Daryush is also the son of beloved JCU alumnus and Trustee Dr. Ali Reza Arabnia, the former CEO of Geico Taikisha.
The Manufacturing Award recipients are chosen based on a thorough evaluation by the organization’s judges and the Manufacturing Leadership Council’s committee of researchers. Daryush’s company specifically won the Operational Excellence Leadership Award, which recognizes companies’ use of technology to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and implement productive processes.
Corporate Innovations
The organization was granted the coveted manufacturing award due to Daryush’s innovative program invention: PES (Paintshop Execution System) within the Smart Paintshop project. This program exemplifies Geico Taikisha’s corporate vision, grounded in technological and cultural innovations. PES, managed on a cloud server, focuses on safety features, using the internet to optimize the efficiency of painting stations and improve interaction between employees and machines. The Smart Paintshop system also increases the speed at which painting plants can be built, reducing the time from eighteen months to ten months. Additionally, Smart Paintshop has received the SurCar Innovation Award three separate times as best research and innovation in the world.
