JCU Welcomes Record Number of Students for Fall 2022

As we enter our fiftieth anniversary year, the John Cabot University community is pleased to welcome new and returning students to the Fall 2022 semester. This term, JCU has the largest and most diverse entering class in its history. There are over 1600 enrolled undergraduate freshmen, transfers, study abroad students, gap year students, freshmen abroad, and MA in Art History students.

Our new degree-seeking students come from 43 countries and 31 US states. Study abroad students come from 80 US universities and 8 international universities.

JCU Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
Throughout the 2022/2023 academic year, the University will be hosting special events in celebration of its first 50 years as an American overseas liberal arts university in the heart of Rome. Some of the events include an Alumni Reunion and The President’s Gala.

Frank J. Guarini School of Business AACSB Accreditation
In May 2022, the Frank J. Guarini School of Business  received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), thus placing it among the world’s leading business schools. John Cabot is one of fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide, and the first American overseas university in Europe to have earned this prestigious accreditation. The School of Business was created thanks to a generous donation by the Hon. Frank J. Guarini, Chairman Emeritus of the JCU Board of Trustees.

New Dean of Academic Affairs
In July 2022, Professor Stefano Arnone was appointed as new Dean of Academic Affairs of John Cabot University. Dean Arnone holds a Dottorato di Ricerca in Physics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza.” He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the SHEP Theory Group, the University of Southampton, UK from 2000 to 2003, and a research fellow at “La Sapienza” from 2003 to 2007. Dean Arnone’s main research area is Quantum Field Theory, the language in which all of modern physics is formulated. His research interests include the Exact Renormalization Group and gauge theories with (extended) supersymmetry.

Orientation
JCU kicked off the new academic year with numerous activities designed to introduce students to the University and the Eternal City as well as help them to make friends and discover opportunities for involvement on campus.

  • Safety Sessions and Immigration steps
  • Housing and Residential Life workshops
  • Registration for cultural and outdoor Activities and Trips
  • Signing up for Clubs and Organizations, Community Service opportunities, and Athletics
