New Jersey Governor Philip D. Murphy Congratulates JCU on its 50th Anniversary
President Franco Pavoncello is pleased to announce that the Governor of the State of New Jersey, Philip D. Murphy, has congratulated John Cabot University on its 50th anniversary.
The 2022-2023 academic year marks 50 years since JCU was founded in 1972. The University is hosting a series of special events in celebration of its first 50 years as an American overseas liberal arts university in the heart of Rome.
The University kicked off the celebrations with an Opening Concert held at the prestigious Palazzo della Cancelleria on September 30, 2022, and the President’s Gala, held at the Hassler Hotel on October 1, 2022. Both events were part of JCU’s 2022 Alumni Reunion.
“We are celebrating 50 years of growth and success, of challenging times, of marvelous achievements. But most of all we celebrate 50 years of education, in the spirit of the American liberal arts tradition, for thousands of women and men from the four corners of the world who have made us proud with their successes and their commitment to the building of a better future,” said President Pavoncello at the President’s Gala.
Upcoming 50th anniversary events include the Aperitivo with the JCU Alumni Association on February 10, and the annual New York Gala on March 28.
