Professor Anna Tuck-Scala Interviewed for Web Series on Raphael

JCU Professor Anna Tuck-Scala was recently interviewed for the web series “Sulle tracce di Raffaello” (On the Tracks of Raphael), by Giovanni Muciaccia. The series is a Sky production in collaboration with Arte for the upcoming movie Raffaello – Il Principe delle Arti 3D (Raphael – The Lord of the Arts in 3D).

This film dedicated to the genius of Urbino, Raphael Sanzio, will debut in Italian cinemas on April 3, 4, and 5 before appearing in cinemas in 60 countries worldwide. It is produced by Sky 3D, with Sky Cinema and Sky Arts, in collaboration with the Directorate of the Vatican Museums, and is distributed by Nexo Digital.

Professor Tuck-Scala was interviewed at the Villa Farnesina, right next door to JCU, on Raphael’s “Fornarina.” JCU student Cristiano Nico joined her.

Dr. Tuck-Scala currently teaches “Renaissance Rome and its Monuments” at JCU. Her research specialty is the baroque period and her latest book is Andrea Vaccaro (Naples, 1604-1670): His Documented Life and Art, on one of the leading painters in Naples around 1660.
