JCU Hosts Alumni & Friends Holiday Celebration

John Cabot University hosted an Alumni & Friends Holiday Celebration on December 14, 2023. Over 40 members of the JCU community joined the celebration, including alumni, members of the administration, Student Government representatives, faculty, staff, and friends.

Alumni from the following graduation years attended the event: 1976, 1981, 1992, 1994,1996, 2005, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023.

The event was held at Bistrot Collegio in Rome, owned by alumnus Antonio Santarelli (Class of 1981), who helped make this exclusive event possible. Santarelli, who received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019, is the head of the Casale del Giglio winery. After guests arrived at 6 pm, they enjoyed delicious food and drinks. President Franco Pavoncello welcomed all the guests and thanked everyone for joining the celebration.

Later in the evening, alumnus and JCU Trustee Francesco Ruspoli (Class of 1994), President of the JCU Alumni Association, spoke about the importance of staying connected. He was happy to see familiar faces from his time at JCU, after many years.

Alumnus Antonio Santarelli said a few words and expressed his gratitude toward JCU and everyone for coming. He then spoke briefly about his family history and the production of the Casale del Giglio wines.

The attendees talked and networked throughout the evening, forming new connections and reminiscing about their time at JCU.
