Welcome Participants to 10th Annual AMICAL Conference
From June 11th to June 15th, John Cabot University will have the honor of hosting the 10th annual conference of the American International Consortium of Academic Libraries (AMICAL).
The conference is the most important event of the year for AMICAL, which is a consortium of 26 American liberal arts colleges abroad. It is the one opportunity each year for members to meet face to face with colleagues from member universities to discuss shared problems and solutions, and to hear from some of the most influential leaders in the worlds of libraries and learning technologies in higher education.
This year’s conference theme is New Media, New Literacies, New Models: Library-IT-Faculty Collaboration in a Learning Intensive World.
Says JCU’s Head Librarian Elisabetta Morani, “We at the Frohring Library are privileged to be hosting AMICAL’s 10th annual conference. It is really a must date for anyone concerned with information services and their role in teaching and learning.”
