Students who hail from all across the USA and from various countries around the world will be welcomed at the Hilton Airport Hotel on Thursday, June 27th by JCU staff and Orientation Leaders and Skippers. After receiving their housing assignments, students will be accompanied to their accommodations.
During the three-day Orientation, students will participate in sessions designed to acquaint them with the University and the Eternal City. During Navigation 101, Skippers take groups of students on a brief tour of Rome. On this tour, students will see and learn a lot, including: how to buy a metro/bus ticket, find their closest pharmacy and supermarket and discover the quickest route to Rome’s main train station, Termini.
In order to enhance students’ summer session experience, the Office of Student Services has prepared a wide variety of activities including Italian cooking classes, discounted tickets to the opera, and guided excursions to points of interest outside of the city such as the lovely towns in the Castelli Romani area. Students will also be able to enjoy a variety of exercise classes at the Fitness Center located in the Gianicolo Residence.
JCU staff and Orientation Leaders and Skippers are looking forward to meeting everyone!
