Spring 2014 Career Fair Welcomes 45 Companies to JCU

John Cabot University’s Spring 2014 Career Fair attracted 135 students and alumni who took advantage of the opportunity to network and start building their professional career paths.

Forty-five different businesses and organizations came to JCU to give presentations on their companies and meet interested students and graduates from all fields of study and majors.

Companies represented at the Spring 2014 Career Fair included the World Food Programme, KPMG, Oxfam, APCO Worldwide, the British School of Rome and Absolute Internship.

In preparation for Career Fair, each term JCU’s Center for Career Services organizes seminars focusing on a variety of topics such as: “Interviewing Techniques,” “How to Write a Resume,” and “Get Prepared for Career Fair: Tips for Making a Good Impression.”

Through Career Fairs, JCU students have found employment and internships with the media, museums, art galleries, international organizations, multinational corporations, and PR agencies. 64 students and alumni who participated in the Spring 2014 Career Fair have already been placed in jobs and internships.

Professor Antonella Salvatore, Career Services Coordinator, encourages students to attend Career Fair early in their academic careers: “Students often underestimate the importance of building their careers early on, while still studying at the university. The Career Fair is an opportunity for students to expand their networks, explore different career paths, and understand how companies work.”
