Art For Art's Sake: Meet Art History Alumna Anna Prosvetova
Anna Prosvetova is currently pursuing her Master’s in History and Business of Art and Collecting at IESA, Paris / The University of Warwick, UK. In 2014 Anna completed an internship at Tang Art Advisory working remotely with their New York office (from April to July) and Russian Art and Culture in London (from July to September), where she has recently accepted the position of assistant editor.
Of her degree program, Anna writes: “During my studies at John Cabot University I have gained not only well-rounded theoretical knowledge in art theory and history, but also solid practical experience during my internship at the British School at Rome.
With these skills I was accepted with a scholarship to a unique postgraduate program that provides a comprehensive historical understanding of collecting patterns from the Renaissance until the beginning of the twentieth century, as well as a clear vision of today’s practices in the art market.
The course presented me with an amazing opportunity to live and study in Paris, Brussels, Florence, and now in London, widening my horizons, introducing me to new people and cultures, and making me ready to pursue a career in art and finance. I am currently working on the final dissertation, and my expected graduation is in September, 2015.”
