JCU Students Honored at 2018 Student Life Awards

Student Life Awards 2018

Student Life Awards 2018

Student Services presented John Cabot’s annual Student Life Awards on Thursday, April 26.

The awards, introduced by President Franco Pavoncello and Dean of Students Deanna Mayer, recognized more than a hundred JCU students who contributed to the University through their outstanding work in community service, student clubs and organizations, and residential life and athletics.

For the first time in history, the University awarded Student Life honor cords, which were given to 25 exceptional graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the JCU student community. The turquoise cords recognized leadership through service, while the red cords recognized leadership through work in student clubs, organizations, and the residential life program.

“It was an honor to celebrate this occasion with such a diverse, vibrant group of student leaders. Their contribution to the JCU community has been invaluable. We are looking forward to working with all of them in the coming semesters,” said the Director of Student Services, Maria del Pilar Murguia.
