JCU Hosts Two Events to Connect Academia with the Job Market

On Friday, September 14, John Cabot University will present two events to foster the collaboration between the academic world and the job market, while contributing to the professional development of JCU students and graduates.

JCU Connects Academia with the Job MarketOn the one hand, the Center for Career Services is hosting the Fall 2018 Career Fair #1 featuring partner companies and organizations such as ASCS Onlus, Ancient & Recent, Arthrex, Engel & Völkers, FOCSIV, Marshall Language Services, Quanta, RFR International, UniCamillus, and Zètema. Career Fairs serve as an opportunity for students and alumni to begin exploring their future careers, gain valuable work experience, and expand their professional networks: over 40 company representatives will be interviewing more than 100 participants among students and alumni for internship and job opportunities.

On the same day, the JCU Center for Professional and Continuing Education is presenting an innovative event dedicated to professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs. The aim of the event is offering a networking opportunity to those managers, professionals, and entrepreneurs who wish to get involved with the academic world and take advantage of its learning tools. The event will be held in Italian and is called “Sistema PMI: l’università fa squadra con le imprese” (SMEs as Key Players: Tools and Solutions for Change Management). Offered in collaboration with the JCU Institute for Entrepreneurship, Mama Industry, and yourCFO Consulting Group,  it is also sponsored by Febaf – Federazione Banche Assicurazioni e Finanza, BAIA – Business Association Italy America, Zètema Progetto Cultura S.r.l., and The Innovation Group. Professor Antonella Salvatore, Director of the Center for Career Services and Continuing Education, commented: “We decided to host both events on the same day to be consistent with our mission: to guide JCU students and alumni in their career paths, while contributing to the innovation of the job market.” The event is open to the public until September 10: register for Sistema PMI.
