Kassym Kabylgali and Marco Canepa graduated from John Cabot University with a degree in Business Administration in 2019 and 2018, respectively. In 2018, Kassym and Marco applied for an internship at DayBreakHotels.com, through the JCU Center for Career Services, and they are now both working as International Market Manager and Market Manager. On September 24, 2019, they represented DayBreakHotels.com in Professor Antonella Salvatore’s class MKT 335 “Retailing Applied to Fashion Industry.”

DayBreakHotels.com is an innovative company that gives the opportunity to stay at a hotel or enjoy its amenities during the day. The company provides customers with the chance to book a room, use the spa, access the swimming pool, eat at the restaurant or organize a meeting in a variety of hotels across the world. DayBreakHotels.com predominantly partners with five star hotels in order to provide their customers with the best amenities possible, and the price is largely discounted compared to overnight stays.

The company enables partner hotels to gain extra revenue on rooms that have not been booked. These hotels are now able to maximize profits or generate income during low seasons. Thanks to its mobile application or website, luxury hotels have become accessible to anyone. Kassym and Marco shared their professional experience with Professor Salvatore’s Marketing students.

“As of today, we have 4000 partner-hotels on our platform. It is always interesting to look for hotels with different services that match our philosophy, and to explain to the managers what benefits we can bring to the hotel’s revenue” said Kassym and Marco. Working for a growing business can be challenging, but, as in Kassym and Marco’s case, the challenge can turn into a precious occasion for young professionals to thrive.
