JCU Alumni and Friends came together to celebrate the Holiday Season in Rome on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. The event was held at Il Collegio, an exclusive restaurant in the center of Rome owned by JCU alumnus Antonio Santarelli.

On October 17, 2018, JCU welcomed Antonio Lampis, General Director of Museums of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Tourism (MIBAC). Lampis held a special lecture as part of the “CE-DGT 504 Museums, Exhibitions, and Events” course taught by Professor Giulia Ghia, part of the Continuing Education Program in Management and Digitization of Cultural Heritage.

History and Humanities Professor Fabrizio Conti was invited to give a lecture to the international students of the Master’s in Fashion Through History at La Sapienza University in Rome on November, 22, 2018. The lecture, entitled “Clothing and Social Meaning: the Monk, the Knight, and the Witch,” was organized by the Department of History, Cultures and Religions.

Students from Prof. Fabrizio Conti's course HS 235 The Birth of Medieval Europe and from Prof. Matthew Schoene’s course SOC 340 European Integration taught at Albion College, Michigan, met at John Cabot University for a Global Course Connection student conference on November 20, 2018. Students presented and discussed the topics they had been working on remotely in pairs throughout Fall 2018. The conference was sponsored by the Department of History and Humanities.

Guest speakers from different Arab regions as well as from other parts of the world came together to discuss the political economy of the Arab Image, and reflect upon the materiality, ethics, and aesthetics of filming, distributing and archiving post-2011.

John Cabot University hosted the Spring 2018 Career Fair, featuring 71 business representatives and 127 participants among students and graduates, on Friday, April 13. Over 400 job interviews were conducted during the event.
