Congratulations to John Cabot University Class of 2019!

John Cabot University celebrated the Class of 2019 at the 47th Commencement ceremony on May 20, held at Villa Aurelia on the Janiculum Hill overlooking the city of Rome. 208 students received their B.A. degrees and 7 students received their M.A., the first graduating class of JCU’s Master of Arts in Art History.

Wellness Week Spring 2019: A Focus On Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Health

JCU hosted the biannual Health and Wellness Week, a series of events that focused on stress management, sex education, mental health, mindfulness, and spiritual wellbeing on February 25-March 1. The week consisted in an event dedicated to stress management, “Stress Less”, a “mindful meditation and compassion” class, a Sex Education talk, an event on mental health first aid, a yoga class, two mindfulness sessions, a self-defense workshop, and a meditation session in Villa Ada.

A History major from California, Katelynn Cunningham transferred to John Cabot University in Fall 2016. In October 2017, Katelynn was one of three JCU students who were honored at the Italian Parliament by the Italy-USA Foundation. A member of the Lady Gladiators soccer team, Katelynn was voted Most Valuable Player during the 2016-2017 season.

The Department of History and Humanities welcomed Professor Robert Louden from the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, March 13th. Professor Louden is an expert on Immanuel Kant’s ethics and was invited to discuss the philosopher’s views on love, sex, and marriage.
