Cornelia Lauf, Visiting Professor of Art History at JCU recently created the Pernice Artist Residency in Sicily. Based in Monreale, near Palermo, Sicily, the Residence is located on the grounds of the Masseria Pernice, an ancient vineyard and farm run by artist Paolo Sallier de La Tour, whose family has been in the wine business for centuries.

Professor Khaison Duong is lecturer in Computer Science and Educational Technology Specialist. Born in Vietnam of Chinese parents, he arrived in Canada as a refugee when he was 2 years old. Duong earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary (Canada) in 2001 and joined JCU in 2013.

Alice Marinelli completed her B.A. in Art History at JCU in 2017. Since then, she has been studying art history at University College London (UCL) and working at leading art businesses and galleries in London, such as Christie's, Victoria Miro, and the Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art.

History Professor Fabrizio Conti studied at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and earned his Ph.D. in History and Medieval Studies from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Professor Alex Gregor was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He teaches in the Department of English Language and Literature at John Cabot University and is one of the founding editors of OOMPH! Press, an international literary press publishing contemporary poetry and short prose in translation. A writer and editor, he recently published the poetry collection The Pollen Path (Radioactive Cloud, 2019).
